The course is suitable for individuals with little or no prior medical training, including employees across various industries, caregivers, teachers, parents, and members of the general public who want to be prepared to assist in emergency situations.

The course covers both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training in the following areas:

• Principles of first aid and scene safety
• Patient assessment and primary survey
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking management
• Control of bleeding and wound care
• Management of fractures, sprains, and soft tissue injuries
• Treatment of burns and shock
• Handling medical emergencies such as seizures, asthma attacks, and diabetic emergencies
• Basic infection prevention and control

Assessment includes both a written evaluation and practical skills demonstration. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of competence in Basic First Aid.

Participants will receive a certificate of competence after being found competent in the theoretical and practical assessment.
